I'm too excited...

This always happens to me around the holidays, but there's so many things I am busking to do.

1) Learn to knit

2) Learn to maintain a garden- ok, not just flowers, but also food. I would like for our garden to be the source of at least 50% of what we eat, which would mean we'd have a mostly veggie diet. Also, I'd eventually like to help my church launch a community garden in which we do like a weekly farmer's market or something...

3) Learn to sew- I feel horrible that I can't

4) Learn to bake (real cakes, not Duncan Hines...though nothing's wrong with that every once in a while!)

These are just some of the things I think would be cool to learn and also help me mature in my virtuous process, as I call it...the process of becoming the woman God ordained for me to be according to His word.

Wish me luck! :)

I wish you more than luck, I pray for blessings in your journey, and the time, energy, organization and strength to persue those things that are on your heart. I am on the VERY same journey. I want to learn to sew, I am getting a crocheting lesson next week from a good friend, and I'm doing what I can to improve my skills in the kitchen. God is good, He gives us the ability to do be transformed, and He will honor that desire in your heart.

Blessings!

That's beautiful. I had a lot of the same goals for this year myself. For knitting and sewing, I would seek out a mature (Read: Older) lady perhaps at your chruch that could teach you in exchange for the company.

There is an older lady that gives sewing lessons @ my church on Saturdays, but that's my only time to spend with my family. Perhaps when school simmers down I can feel more comfortable addind anthing else to my list. I wish my grandma lived in our state; she definitely could teach me most of the stuff I desire to know! Phooey!
